The School Day

Parents are welcome to bring their children into the playground but they should not arrive before 8.30 a.m. at the earliest.

Children are to remain in the playground until the bell rings at 8.55 a.m., or are invited in by a member of staff. They are expected to enter school quickly and efficiently to hang up their coats so that there can be a prompt start to the day.

Registration is followed by collective worship. At 9.30 children return to their classrooms. Morning break is fifteen minutes; lunchtime is 1 hour. During these times the children are supervised in the playgrounds and dining room. They are not allowed in classrooms or other areas unsupervised.

The school day ends at 3.15 p.m. and parents are welcome to wait in the playground near their child's classroom. If parents are unavoidably delayed they should telephone the school and we will ensure that the child is supervised until collected.
